Privacy notice — Schichtgeld

In short: the app has no server. Everything you enter stays on your phone. We cannot see your hours or your pay, because they never reach us.

1. What is processed, and where it lives

Working times and breaks, hourly rate and contractual weekly hours, tax class and child allowance, your health insurer's additional rate, supplements, allowances and bonus rates, and any payslip figures you enter for checking. All of it is stored solely in a database on your device. None of it is transmitted to us, backed up by us or passed to third parties. There is no account and no sign-in.

2. Special category: church tax

Whether church tax is withheld allows an inference about religious affiliation and is therefore a special category of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR. It is stored locally only and never leaves the device. Entering it is optional.

3. No analytics, no tracking

The app contains no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDK, sends no usage statistics and builds no profile about you. No cookies or advertising identifiers are set.

4. Purchases

A subscription is handled by Apple or Google. We receive no payment data, only whether a purchase is in effect. Their own privacy policies govern that processing: Apple, Google.

5. Advertising

The app currently shows no advertising and embeds no ad network. Should that change, this notice will be updated before the release in question, and consent will be obtained where it is required.

6. Documents you create

A PDF timesheet is produced on your device. Where you send it afterwards is entirely your decision, and the privacy policy of whichever service you use applies to that.

7. Retention and deletion

The data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all of it. Individual shifts and months can be deleted in the app at any time.

8. Your rights

Articles 15 to 21 GDPR give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. In relation to this app they have little to bite on, because we hold none of your data. You may complain to a supervisory authority at any time; ours is the Data Protection Commissioner of North Rhine-Westphalia.

9. A note on the calculation

Schichtgeld computes with the official algorithm of the German Federal Ministry of Finance. It replaces neither a payslip nor tax advice.
